Keeping your emergency lighting up to date will both save you money and keep you within the law.

Emergency lighting employs the use of batteries in light fixtures that automatically illuminate during power failures so that buildings can be safely evacuated in the event of an emergency or when standard lighting has failed.
Rechargeable batteries power lights for typically 3 hours. Emergency lighting can either be 'always-on' (maintained) or only active in the event of an emergency (non-maintained).
You typically see emergency lighting in corridors with indicators of the nearest exit, or on stairwells and by emergency exists.
Emergency lighting is a legal requirement in almost all business and non-domestic buildings or in public areas of certain residences. Its maintenance is a legal duty.
In this case at a warehouse in Lincolnshire, we replaced a range of older style lighting with much more efficient fixtures that are more easily maintained and have a longer lifespan.
